Who we are

This policy explains how GSC Outsourcing (“GSC”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit gscoutsourcing.com, contact us, book a call or apply for a role with us.

GSC provides finance and accounting outsourcing and builds dedicated finance teams for businesses and accounting firms. We have locations in Florida, New Jersey and California in the US and in Gurugram, India.

When we work on a client’s books under a signed agreement, we handle that client’s data as their service provider (a “processor”). That work is governed by the client agreement and its data protection terms, not by this website policy.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, work email, phone number, company, role and anything you write to us when you fill in a form, book a call, use the chat or email us. If you apply for a job, we also collect your resume and the details you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. Basic technical data such as your browser type, device, pages visited, the site that referred you and an approximate location based on your IP address. Some of this comes from cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies).

Information from others. Occasionally we receive your details from a colleague who introduces you, a referral partner or a public professional profile.

How we use it

We use personal information to reply to your questions and arrange calls, to prepare proposals and deliver the services you ask for, to review job applications, to keep the website secure and working well, to understand which pages are useful so we can improve them and to send occasional updates you can opt out of at any time.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Legal bases (EU and UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies or marketing emails); the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and improving our business and responding to inquiries, balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed: with our own team across our US and India locations; with trusted service providers that host our website, email, scheduling and CRM tools under contracts that protect your data; with professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers; and with authorities where the law requires it.

If GSC is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that deal under the same protections.

International transfers

Our team works in the US and India, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we put safeguards in place for these transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How we protect it

GSC holds ISO 27001 certification. Access to personal information is role-based and limited to people who need it, access is logged and our team members are background-checked. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your information has been put at risk, please tell us right away. More detail is on our Data Security page.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and contact records for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterwards (normally up to three years) unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Job applications are kept for up to twelve months unless you join GSC. Some records are kept longer where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format and withdraw consent at any time.

EU and UK. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California and other US states. You can ask what personal information we have collected about you, ask us to delete or correct it and opt out of any sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information and we will not treat you differently for using these rights.

India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask for a summary of your data, correction or erasure and you can nominate someone to exercise your rights.

To use any of these rights, email sales@gscoutsourcing.com. We will confirm who you are before acting on the request and reply within the time the law allows.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Essential ones keep the site working (for example, remembering whether you turned sounds off). Analytics cookies, where used, help us understand how the site is used in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page.
